I was yearning to eat this chicken. I was able to find one recipe online similar to the one i had at home. went back to my childhood days
Cook time: 45min
Ingredients:
- 2kg Chicken (cut into pieces)
- Whole Garam Masala (Miriyalu, Elachi seeds, Chekka, Shajeera)
- 1 Whole Big Onion Chopped
- 3-4 Ginger pieces and 1 inch Garlic piece all minced [or 1 Tbs ginger garlic paste]
- [2tsp Gasala Roasted and 4Tbs Coconut] ground to paste
- 2tsp Chilli powder
- 1/2tsp Turmeric powder
- 2 tsp Salt
- 1 Tbs Dhania powder
- 1/2 tsp Garam Masala powder
Steps:
- Add Oil once its heated then add Whole Garam Masala after 2 min add the Onion, Saute till its transparent
- Then add the ginger garlic Paste, fry for 3-4 min, the add the chicken fry on high heat for 5-6 min until its more then half cooked.
- reduce the heat and add kobbari-Gasala paste, Turmeric, Chilli powder, Salt and Dhania powder, cook for another 10 minutes or until the oil separates. add the yogurt (opt) cook for 4-5 min
- Now add about 1cup water, mix and close the lead for 5 min, if chicken is cooked then open the lid and cook till the liquid becomes slightly thick.
- Just before finishing add 1/2tsp Garam Masala and Garnish Cilantro leaves.
